I Am…

Metaphors allow us to show the parts of ourselves that are not obvious to others. After reading “The Delight Song of Tsoai-talee” by N. Scott Momaday, the 7th graders of Clinton asked themselves what is beneath their surface. Upon exploring what metaphors were, students then created their own based on their personalities, interests, and talents. Profound, fun, serious, and silly, students reflected on what becoming animals, foods, ideas, and objects said about their inner selves.
