A Recipe to Make a Good Student

This week Nettelhorst 2nd graders read and discussed “Recipe for Being a Great Person” – written by a group of 3rd graders from Swift school a few years ago. Some students seemed hopeful that we would be painting or sculpting when they saw that I was wearing an apron! We talked about ingredients, measures, and cooking actions – such as mashing, pouring, whisking, grating, and flipping (burgers and pancakes) – and ways to have fun combining them to create unique recipes.
